Artemide
Classic Italian Lighting
Since 1958, Italian-based Artemide has been producing memorable lighting by leading designers. Artemide may be best know for the Tizio desk lamp designed by Richard Sapper in 1972 and the Tolomeo desk lamp, designed by Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina in 1986 — both lamps have become icons of Italian modern design. Artemide has collaborated with other designers including Mario Botta, Sir Norman Foster, Ettore Sottsass, Enzo Mari, Neil Poulton, Karim Rashid and Luigi Serafini. In recent years, the company has made a shift to more energy efficient models including the Tizio LED and Tolomeo LED models.
