Antonio Citterio
b. 1950
Born in Meda, Italy, Antonio Citterio studied architecture at the Milan Polytechnic. In 1999, he founded Antonio Citterio and Partners, a multidisciplinary design and architecture firm based in Milan and Hamburg. Over the course of his career, Citterio has worked on architectural projects from a variety of clients including B&B Italia, Kartel, and Vitra. Many of his products are displayed at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, as well as the Centre Pompidou in Paris. Citterio was awarded the Compasso d’Oro in 1987 and 1995, and has held teaching positions at both the Domus Academy in Milan, La Sapienza University in Rome, and the Università della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano, Switzerland.
