Charlene Mullen is an award-winning, London-based designer, creating beautifully executed textiles for residential and commercial interiors. Mullen's aesthetic is born of her training in illustration and textiles combined with over 15 years' experience designing embroideries for leading fashion houses including Calvin Klein, Donna Karan and Givenchy. Drawing on a wide range of inspiration such as Swiss paper cuts, Blackwork, scientific structures, and tribal costumes, Mullen plays with scale and colour, creating intricate embroideries with a contemporary aesthetic and a deeply personal feel. For her eponymous brand of homewares, Charlene Mullen was shortlisted as Best Newcomer at 100% Design in 2008.
