In 1994, Herman Miller introduced the Aeron® Chair — it quickly became the industry standard for task seating. Nearly 15 years later, they introduce Embody®, a revolutionary task chair that fits every body.
Designed specifically for people who sit at computers, Embody makes you feel like you're floating. It promotes health-positive sitting, creating harmony between you and your computer to help you focus on your work and think more clearly. In fact, it's the first work chair that supports your body and your mind.
Embody lets your body move and keeps you well supported, because your mind works best when you move freely and stress is minimized on your muscles, bones, and tissues. Blood circulates better, your heart rate goes down, and more oxygen flows to your brain. There is no distracting discomfort or physical constraint.
MBDC Silver
The Embody chair adheres to the McDonough Braungart Design Chemistry (MBDC) Cradle to Cradle protocol. Embody is MBDC Cradle to Cradle Silver certified and GREENGUARD certified; Embody can also provide credits for LEED certification.
Level™ Certified
The Embody is Level 2 certified by the Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association sustainability standard. The level conformance mark ensures a comprehensive, independent, and impartial assessment of the environmental and social impacts of a product.
Embody is 95 percent recyclable, has 42 percent recycled content, and contains no PVCs. The Embody is manufactured on a production line that utilizes 100-percent green power, 50 percent from wind turbines, and 50 percent from captured landfill off-gassing. No air or water emissions are released in Embody’s production.
Your chair is specially built for you by Herman Miller in Zeeland, Michigan, and is delivered fully assembled to you.

The Embody Chair comes with a 12-year, 3-shift warranty (a guarantee of 12 years structurally, five years on seat and back, and three years on the gas lift height adjustment and arm pads). The warranty covers standard elements and includes labor on all warranty work.
Please note that as of May 2010, the H9 Translucent Casters are on production hold indefinitely.
