Kaiju Studios

Kaiju Studios was founded in 2001 by Ayako Takase and Cutter Hutton, two industrial design graduates from the Rhode Island School of Design. Located in Providence, Rhode Island, the studio has maintained strong ties to RISD through teaching and student mentoring. It has also become renowned in industrial and experience design, producing a diversity of products with clients ranging from Samsonite to the Lincoln Center. Kaiju Studio’s Airia media cabinet and desk for Herman Miller combines traditional with modern sensibilities, paying particular attention to organizational space by providing a dual surface.
