In 1947, George Nelson designed the first Bubble Lamp collection. The series was manufactured by Howard Miller until 1979 when the collection went out of production. In 1998, California-based Modernica acquired the tooling and materials to begin production of this iconic series.
The George Nelson Bubble Lamp® collection is manufactured in the United States, and is featured in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
