Marc Sadler
b. 1946
Austrian-born, French designer Marc Sadler is well known for his experimentation with plastics. During the early 1970s, his designs for ski boots were widely popularized. Sadler’s early work as a sports designer led to collaborations with other sporting companies in Europe, Asia, and the United States. His innovative work in new materials and production also translated to projects in lighting and other technical products. Sadler’s design for a motorcyclist back protector was acquired for the permanent collection at the Modern Museum of Art in New York in 1998.
