Nicolai Fuhrmann
Fuhrmann trained in industrial design at the University of Fine Arts in Braunshweig. Soon after graduating he began collaborating with Jorge Pensi in Barcelona, working on furniture design, interiors, and lighting equipment. Their clients included a variety of European companies, such as Cassina, Kusch+Co, and Zurich Insurances. Fuhrmann later worked with Milani D+C in Zurich designing medical goods– a clean, minimal aesthetic that later influenced his designs for Blomus. He has since opened his own studio in Cologne in 2004, and also teaches design at the University of Wuppertal.
