Patricia Urquiola

Patricia Urquiola studied architecture at both the Faculdad de Arquitectura de Madrid and the Politecnic di Milano, with Achille Castiglioni as her thesis advisor. During the early 1990s, she worked for the furniture company De Padova as head of development, producing pieces with Vico Magistretti. In 2001 Urquiola started her own design studio in Milan, providing product design, displays, and architecture. She formed a partnership with Eliana Gerotto, a industrial designer, set curator, and interior decorator, for lighting and furnishing design.
