Studio 7.5

Established in 1992, Studio 7.5 was founded by Burkhard Schmitz, Claudia Plikat, Roland and Carola Zwick in Berlin. The name was inspired by the idea of a 7.5-ton truck, rented by the studio for the transporting of prototype models to various project sites. Flexibility and freedom of design is the ideal for Studio 7.5, and it is a mentality that is visible in their products. Partnering with Herman Miller, Studio 7.5 created the Mirra and Setu task chairs– embodying the agility of movement even while sitting.
